Auroville stands as a beacon of human unity and
experimentation, nestled in the heart of Tamil Nadu,
India. Since its inception in 1968, it has been a symbol
of possibility and progress. However, despite its rich
legacy, there has been a dearth of initiatives focused
on youth empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.
That is where “Le Paradise D'Auro” steps in.
Project Overview:
To take care of our co-species, we must first
understand them. Only when individuals comprehend
the behaviours of various species and their
significance to our planet can they truly appreciate
each species' contribution, which plays a vital role in
nature. When humans respect and allow space for
other species, it fosters harmony. This is precisely the
ethos that Le Paradise D’Auro aims to impart to the
world.

It will not be a conventional park where visitors observe species from a distance, snap a few
pictures, and move on. Instead, it will be an immersive experience where visitors engage
directly with each species through our trained specialists. Having studied the behaviors of
the species we house, we aspire to educate every park visitor, emphasizing the significance
of biodiversity.
Le Paradise D’Auro will serve as an educational hub. Upon departure, visitors will depart not
only with cherished memories but also with a deeper understanding of species,
environmental conservation, reforestation, green energy, and sustainable livelihoods. This
hands-on learning approach will make a substantial impact, as it allows people to witness,
interact, and comprehend firsthand.
We are committed to ensuring that all species in our care thrive in optimal environmental
and health conditions. They are not merely different from us; they are part of our extended
family. In essence, we are all interconnected.

Sugarr's journey from a young animal enthusiast :
In Alankuppam to a visionary leading a unique project in Auroville is truly inspiring. His
upbringing in a family deeply connected to farming and animal care laid the
foundation for his passion. As he honed his skills in handling various bird species,
Sugarr became a trusted advisor in his community, attracting numerous people
seeking guidance on bird maintenance.
The influx of donated birds not only showcased Sugarr's expertise but also highlighted
his family's dedication to animal welfare. With 30 cows, 4 horse, 12 ducks, 300
numerous birds, and other animals under their care, Sugarr and his family
demonstrated a profound love for their co-species. Their concern for the future of
these animals led Sugarr to collaborate with like-minded youths in Auroville.
Recognizing the responsibility and promise in these individuals, Sugarr, along with his
newfound allies, embarked on a transformative journey. By relocating their diverse
animal family to Auroville, they ensured not just their immediate well-being but also
secured a sustainable future for generations to come.
This initiative symbolizes a harmonious relationship between humans and animals,
where mutual care and support pave the way for a brighter tomorrow. As Auroville
embraces this expanded animal family, it not only enriches its community but also sets
a precedent for future endeavors in animal welfare and conservation.
Sugarr's story reminds us of the profound impact individuals can make when fueled by
passion, empathy, and a vision for a better world. Through his initiative, he not only
preserves a legacy of love for animals but also inspires others to join hands in
safeguarding our co-species for generations to come.
